Hey $waggers,
Welcome back to another post! Today we will be looking at the trend of turtlenecks. Once upon a time turtlenecks ruled the world in the 1980s but it was how they were styled in the 1990s thats been drawn to the style of how we wear them today. The popular trend of turtlenecks worn with mum jeans was popular back then and is again popular now. The turtle neck as a basic top is actually very much loved by Steve Jobs, who is not only remembered for his contributions to technology but also his personal collection and rotation of the same black turtleneck. The similar style of top has also been loved by popular artist, Drake, who has worn it underneath a suit and walked a red carpet showcasing it.

However, turtlenecks have been adapted to suit formal clothing as well as just the regular basic top or knit. On the infamous red carpet, Kylie Jenner rocks a gown by Lebanese designer Shady Zeineldine. The gold dress seen below incorporates a turtleneck and is skin tight on the body, still showcasing a good figure while maintaining to be stylish.

A perfect representation of the style of turtleneck is Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who actually wore it in the 90's styled with a big, gold chain and a fanny pack. Dwayne Johnson recreated this look on his instagram which attracted many of his fans who liked the outfit too. After sharing this photo, the popular star also rocked it down the red carpet.
Is the turtleneck for you?
Amy xoxo
