How to be a VSCO girl (or boy)

VSCO girl status is the new goal for every teenager to achieve. To be a VSCO girl is to be a god among classmates. A legend among peers. An idol among fans.

The term was coined from the photo app, VSCO, and was originally given to people who used this app to edit their insta posts. However, it has become so much more than that, and at this point is a trend sweeping the world.

Here's the top 10 things you need to own to officially label yourself a VSCO girl.

1. A metal straw- save the turtles... duh.

2. A Hydro Flask- not only do these babies keep your water cold for a crazy long time, they also look stylish. Stepping on to the town with one of these will up your look from drab to fab. You can even personalise it with stickers to add a unique touch.

4. Puka shell necklace- this way people will know you're a beach babe, they might even think you collected the shells yourself.

5. Birkenstocks- everyone needs a good set of birks. Casual and comfortable, they pair with any look you might want to put together.

6. Carmex- need to keep those lips extra juicy for all the VSCO boys.

7. Airpods- although a bit of a splurge these are a must for any aspiring VSCO girl. Remember to keep one in at all times, not two, just one. You don't want to seem rude, just edgy.
