Welcome to our first proper blog post. $wag Tag are delighted to bring you a range of fashion styles, items and trends over the next month. You can read for information or just for enjoyment, it's up to you. For our first topic, we will cover something our team holds close to our fashionista hearts.
Socks and Sandals.
Historically one of the biggest fashion faux pas to exist. Only seen on unfashionable Dad's and young kids who don't have a say on what they wear. But are things changing? Recently we have seen an array of models step out in public in none other than socks and sandals. We all know the impact these influencers have on what is in and out of style and being snapped by paps wearing this bold footwear number is a sure way to start shifting opinions when it comes to this look.
Two of the biggest influencers in the world right now, sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, were both pictured wearing socks and sandals. Bella chose to style them with a more dressy look as she went out to dinner, whereas sister Gigi strolled around the streets in a casual denim jacket and biker shorts. Both looks are pictured below.

The take off of the Birkenstock trend has definitely contributed to the rise of public socks and sandals sitings, with Gigi's casual outfit featuring a par of black Valentino Birkenstock's.
